Well, it’s not our baby that arrived, we don’t plan to have a family right now. It’s the newest niece of my boyfriend. We have planned the present we wanted to give her and her mother long time ahead. I knitted a cardigan for her, we both decorated a frame for her photo and made a card, that I already showed here. But I wanted to show you the whole set.

I had to make her anonymous, because I didn’t want to show her face without the consent of her parent. On the little tag were written the date of her birth, her weight and how tall she was. The peals spell her name and as you probably can imagine: the photo in the center shows the little girl herself.

Because I don’t have dies or a cutting machine, I transferred the form of another tag onto white paper and cut everything out with my scissors. The same I did with the stamped images. I contoured the tag with a decotime marker, so it would fit better into the frame. The picture frame had already a passepartout, that i decorated with patterned paper. I used a white gel pen to create a scallop border around the opening. The buttons I had for a long time and used some of them in other projects already.

I used the same kind of buttons on this cardigan. They close one part of the kimono, the other part is hed close by a red ribbon. The cardigan is still a little too big for the girl, but babies are growing fast and it won’t be a problem soon. I already knitted this pattern for my niece 9 years ago, it’s beautiful, easy and I really love it. I found the pattern on Ravelry. (Sorry for the photo, I made it just before packaging the whole set.)

I hope you like, what I made for the little newborn girl.

Mit lieben Grüßen/ Best wishes,

Miss.
