As you already know, I love to knit. And there were times, when I used to knit literally all of the time (even during the classes at university). My main knitting tool turned out to be a row counter. It was and still is very important to me to count rows to have my socks, mittens and sleeves the same lenght. Also I use the row counter to keep track on rows of a complicated pattern. For a long time I used to count rows on paper, now since I have a smartphone (it took me a long time to get one), I use an app for that and it works so so great! I can add as many projects as I want and I can add as many counters to any project as I like, so I know exactly where I was at even if I take longer breakes within a project. Now I use it all the time, as you can see on the screenshots. To count rows, you just have to click the +. To knit the second sock I don’t count twice, but click the – instead and know, that I have enough rows when I hit the 0. As you can see above I’m currently knitting the second mitt, as the first counter already hit the 0. “Bündchen” is the german word for cuff, so that’s what is finished in the mitt.

You can try it out at the Google Play Store (free) and at the F-Droid Store (free).

Habt Spaß beim Zählen! / Have fun counting!
