On this card I used a stamp set (MFT Our Story), that came out last winter. I wanted it so badly then, but just couldn’t get my hands on it. I wasn’t able to get it from any of the european shops. But now I have it! You have to know, that I love books. I love books so much, that I would probably buy anything with books on it. It also happens, that I give books as gifts, I see me using that set all the time. Today I finally used the stamps and made a simple one-layer-card inspired by the current MFT color challenge. When I stamped the images, I used a lot of masking, to make the dog and boy appear in a frame. The frames were drawn by me, because I wanted to fill in the wall with pictures. I also wrote the book titles on the covers. That’s what it would look like, if I lived there. I used watercolors (Kuretake Gansai Tambi and Prima Marketing Watercolor Confections: Decadent Pies) to color everything it, but mixed the colors myself as both sets didn’t have the exact colors for the challenge. The colors from the Decadent Pies palette were used to color in the neutral tones as skin, hair and animals. They were also custom mixed. At the end I used a white gelpen for some accents. Now I can’t wait to give someone a book as a gift!
