Ich bin mir gar nicht sicher, wie man das Wort “Doodle” am besten übersetzt, vielleicht: “Gekritzel”. In sehr vielen Fällen ist es aber mehr als das. Ich bin mir sicher, daß es etwas ist, das jeder tut. Ob neben dem Telefonieren oder beim Nachdenken oder einfach, weil man seine Gedanken mal in der Schule oder Uni oder Arbeit mal schweifen läßt. Manche haben das jedoch zu einer Art Kunst erhoben und das beobachte ich so unglaublich gerne! Youtube öffnet uns ja Fenster in fremde Wohnungen und man kann Menschen beim Arbeien beobachten. In letzter Zeit schaute ich vor allem Doodle Date gerne, die zwei sind ein Paar und zeichnen in der begrenzten Zeit zu bestimmten Themen oder benutzen begrenzte Materialien. Bei Sea Lemon, die auch zahlreiche Videos zum Binden von Notizbüchern etc. hat, habe ich gestern das Video zu ihrer “Doodle Challenge” gesehen. Dabei hat man ein Blatt Papier, das wie ein Kalender aufgeteilt ist. Jeder Tag hat ein Kästchen mit einem Thema, in dem man kritzeln kann. Den Ausdruck dazu seht Ihr auf dem Photo zum Post. Außerdem kann ich die Videos von iraville sehr empfehlen, ihr Stil gefällt mir außerordentlich gut. Bei watercolor misfit habe ich einiges gelernt, was Aquarellfarben und ihre Nutzung angeht. Gerade im September kehrt sie nach einer Sommerpause mit Videos zurück. Neben den Kartenbastlern gucke ich bei diesen Channels regelmäßig rein, weil ich beim Malen selbst gerne etwas nebenbei laufen habe. Was das Doodlen angeht, so sind alle willkommen beim Kritzeln auf “höherem Niveau”.
Doodling is something everyone does, I think. I often doodle when I’m on the telephone, or thinking about something or just have a slightly boring lesson in school or university. Oh, did it so often back then! I even once had a job where I had awfully long periods without any tasks, I used to doodle on the paper desk-pad. Then I had to suddenly switch workplaces with someone and the woman was stunned about what I managed to draw there. I filled the whole pad. Some people made doodling some kind of art and I love watching it! I found a channel called Doodle Date some weeks ago and just can’t stop watching them. The two are a very sweet couple and make doodle challenges for the two of them where they use only limited supplies. I also love watching Sea Lemon, she has many tutorials on bookbinding and made sheets for a monthly doodle challenge. It looks just like a calendar and you have to fill in the days with doodles. That’s what you see in the photo for this post. Play along, if you like. I also find the videos of iraville, a german illustrator very satisfying. Those are mostly speedpaintings. She has a wonderful style and chooses the colors so great! There is also watercolor misfit, I learned quite a lot from her about watercolors, even if I have a different style. She made a summer break, but is back now. Those are the YouTubers I regularly like to watch, who aren’t making cards – there are so many more! But if you enjoy drawing, painting, doodling and don’t know those, they may be worth watching. Also you are all welcome to doodle along!
