(Was ich sehr hoffe.)

Oh, the titles become longer and longer, when I’m trying to make everything bilingual. But I like the idea, that what I write can be read and understood by more people that way. … if they ever read it. (I hope they do.)

Enough of that, I have finished a pair of socks for my dear fiancé this weekend. As always knitting is something I do during my little breaks. I enjoy it especially, when watching “TV”, TV is a codeword for Amazon Prime for us, as we don’t own an actual TV. 😉 (And have no place to put it, our apartment is very special that way.) I finished the socks just in time for the colder weather around here. The color is pretty discreet and masculine enough. The pattern is one, that he chose himself. (You can download the pattern here for free.) He was afraid, that it’s going to be complicated, but it really wasn’t. I had to change the size of the socks, because the pattern gave only one size option (a size 39 in German, I guess), but it was not problem to do that. We both have bigger feet and I added some stitches to make the sock wider and knitted it a little longer, to fit his size. It was 88 stitched I started with and divided them evenly on the needles. It still feels strange to me, that the author of the pattern wrote, that she couldn’t give more sizes, because the pattern was “too complicated”. It’s in fact only 4 braids, that are knitted along the sock. But well, lucky me, that I can adapt patterns according to my needs.

I also have to apologize for the photos, the socks look so funny hanging there and I don’t have a model foot or anything to stretch the sock onto. So I thought the bookcase would make a nice background. It’s totally real by the way! There is also always this line, but we mostly hand cards and photos of our family and friends up there as well as beautiful illustrations, that we find.

I hope you all have warm feet and a great time!
