Last week I was a little bit busy with my health, so I didn’t have the time or mood to make a lot. Today I found some time to make some more Christmas cards and wanted to show them to you. They are pretty easy and can be made with children as well. The little socks and mittens were cut out of felt using a template, that I drew myself. We are making those digital, so you can use them too. Just take a look at the blog in a few days. The parts for the socks and mittens were sewn together, I also embroidered some stars on them. The white rectangle in the background was embossed with a background die with stitching patterns. For the colored background on the mittens cards, I used some patterned paper, that I had, the ones with the socks were made using Nuvo Embellishment Mousse. I have to admit, that I’m not at all happy with that product, as it dries very quickly in it’s little jars. I bought it just a few weeks ago and it already crumbles inside. The consistency is also a little bit too hard for my taste, I had to dilute it with water to make it smooth. The colors are beautiful though. I will try to use it as much as I can during the next days and weeks, but won’t rebuy it. Do you have similar problems with it? Or is it maybe just the ones I got? I love to try new things, but this time my expectations were clearly too high.

I also kept on knitting. The first fingerless mitt was finished yesterday, I also started the second one in the evening. The size is now perfect for womans hands, I had to adjust the pattern for that, as it made the mittens awfully small. (I never could have fit my hand in those, when I didn’t change up the pattern.) As soon, as I have finished those, you will read a little bit more about them, as I want to give them away to someone, who hopefully appreciates them. So, be patient with me, I’m trying.

Habt eine wunderschöne Zeit!/ Have a wonderful day!
