Vor zwei Tagen habe ich bereits mit dem Python hier angefangen. Das Grün hatte es mir angetan und darauf eine Schlange zu malen, hatte ich sowieso Lust, also machte ich mich daran. Es brauchte mehr Schichten, als ich dachte und zuerst ging alles schief. Der Hintergrund gelang nicht so richtig, die Schlange trocknete heller als gedacht, also mußte so viel nachgebessert werden. Am Ende gefällt sie mir doch ganz gut. Es ist sicherlich keines meiner besseren Aquarelle, aber es ist ok.
I started painting this python two days ago. It was just one of these days, when I was in the mood to paint snakes and loved the green color of this one. It took me so many layers to get the green color right, because it dried much lighter that I wanted it to be. I also messed up the background and the snake itself (almost), so I had to fix it. In the end I like the result, but it’s definitely not the best painting I’ve ever done.
Für die nächsten Projekte sind übrigens keine Aquarelle angedacht. Ich habe mal wieder gestrickt und schreibe gerade eine neue Anleitung auf für Babystiefelchen und Mütze – im Freundeskreis ist heute Morgen ein neues Baby geboren! Außerdem gibt es dann auch Babykarten zum Gratulieren. Ich lasse euch, wie immer, alles wissen und sehen!
The next projects won’t be watercolors by the way! (It’s time to change things up a little.) I have knitted a little bit and am now writing down the pattern for new baby shoes and a hat – today a little girl was born and her parents are dear friends of ours. There also will be cards to congratulate. As always I will show you all of the things, I’ve done!
Heute hatte ich das leider nicht mehr geschafft, weil wir erneut beim Tierarzt waren und Dante in letzter Zeit Krämpfe im Bein hat, die stundenlang andauern. Nun haben wir ein Mittel, das ihm helfen wird. Es wird vermutet, daß das noch Nachwirkungen der Femurkopfresektion von 2016 ist. Vielleicht macht sich das fehlende Hüftgelenk eher bemerkbar, als gedacht. 🙁
I planned to finish the pattern today, but had no time, as we needed to go to the vet with Dante. He had bad cramps in his leg and was in pain (it was the second time now). The vet gave us some medication that helps with that and told us, how to change up his food to prevent that. But he thinks, it may be a side effect of the femoral head ostectomy (hip surgery) he had after a car accident in 2016. I hope, that it’s not a bigger problem with his hip starting off mild, that we experience right now. 🙁
