Daß wir heiraten werden, ist in diesem Blog ja eigentlich schon bekannt. Es sollte auch bekannt sein, daß wir an alle Gäste unterschiedliche selbstgemachte Einladungen verschicken wollen. Wir mögen einfach den Gedanken, ein wenig anders zu sein. Dieses Eulenstempelchen von Clearly Besotted (der Stempel ist leider aus dem Sortiment genommen worden) haben wir (ja, WIR) uns ausgesucht, noch bevor wir verlobt waren! Der beste Mann der Welt sagte damals, ich solle ihn ruhig mit in den Warenkorb packen und das tat ich auch. Daher freut es mich sehr, ihn nicht nur für Hochzeitskarten anderer, sondern auch für unsere Hochzeit benutzen zu können. Die Farbwahl ist ebenfalls eher ungewöhnlich – wobei ich Grün sehr gerne integrieren würde – und von der aktuellen Color Throwdown Challenge inspiriert. Der Spruchstempel kommt von einem Danipeuss Set und das Papier aus einem Block von Carta Bella “Our Family”. Die Farben passen einfach perfekt. Zum kolorieren nutzte ich Aquarellfarben von Winsor & Newton aus der Cotman Serie. Diese hatte ich bereits letzte Woche bestellt und heute erhalten, daher habe ich vorher damit rumgespielt. Die Palette ist auf jeden Fall größer als die, die ich bisher hatte. Falls es jemanden interessiert, kann ich gerne einen Vergleich machen. Auch sonst beantworte ich gerne Fragen jeder Art.
That we are going to marry is known among the readers of this blog. It also should be known, that we decided to send different selfmade invitations to our guests. We just like the idea to be a little bit different. This owl stamp is from Clearly Besotted (sadly it went out of their range). When we ordered there it was actually my wonderful fiancé (who wasn’t my fiancé then) who told me to order it, so we could make cute wedding cards. There were no friends or family members who wanted to marry soon, but hey – we had the stamp. Now it came to use on our invitation. The color choice is mainly influenced by the latest color throwdown challenge. I like the color choice a lot, I even thought about adding green to the colors of our wedding. (I love green just so much!) The sentiment is from a german company that we bought for our invitations mainly, it says “We are going to marry”. The papers are from a pad by Carta Bella “Our Family”, the patterns are just so adorable. I’m going to use it some more soon. To color the image I used watercolors by Winsor & Newton from the Cotman series, that I ordered last week. They arrived just yesterday, so I couldn’t wait to play around with them. You can see the swatches underneath. The palette is more versatile than the ones I had before and I just can’t wait to paint more with it. If you want me to compare the watercolors I have, I’ll be happy to do so. I am also happy to answer any question that may occur.
Wie Ihr seht, ist es die letzten Tage sehr regnerisch hier. Zum Glück ohne Donner – denn davor hat das liebe Hündchen wahnsinnige Panik und da leiden wir immer unglaublich mit. Es ist natürlich nichts im Vergleich zu den Unwettern und dem Wahnsinn in anderen Teilen der Welt, wie gerade in Florida und Boston. Hoffentlich sind die großen Stürme bald vorbei und die Menschen können mit dem Wiederaufbau beginnen.
As you can see, it was very rainy for the last couple of days. But we’re happy, that there was no Thunder. Dante is very scared of every kind of loud noises and we suffer with him every time. Of course it’s nothing compared to the suffering of the people in Florida or Boston. It will hopefully be over soon and the people will be able to rebuild what was damaged.
