(English version below.)

The world and many of it’s problems are something that I often think of and I would like to help more than I do now. That also means that I would like to give more to organizations and groups all over the world who help people in need. So I had an idea, how I could do that more efficient. I could open a little business (in Germany I have to do that to be able to sell stuff I create) and sell things I make on Dawanda or Etsy (Dawanda is something like the German Etsy. Which of those do you prefer or use more often?). The things I could sell are basically all the things you can see on this blog: cards, illustrations (original artwork and prints), knitted cute baby clothes (but those take more time to make and will probably be the expensive items). When I studied at the University, I had sold some knitted items on dawanda as a private seller. But it wasn’t a big deal. Well, if I do that now, I would give 10-15% of the price (the whole price not the profit!) to organizations. Depending on how much this is, that would be monthly or every second month and I would bring it up to a round figure using the money I earn with my dayjob (that I want to keep). Everything would be transparent, I could tell which organization will get the money for that month for example, there are many that need help. Before I decide to make this big step (at least for me it is), I wanted to ask you, what you think about that. Do you have experiences with concepts like this or selling on etsy?

I’m looking forward to every comment about that question. It’s really something, that is on my mind for weeks now.

Liebe Grüße/ Take care!
